The Almonte Tennis Club is offering a no-charge open house for the public to encourage club membership and increase engagement. The open house is an opportunity for the public to visit and play on the courts. Representatives from the Club’s Board of Directors will be present to answer questions.
The open house itinerary:
10:00 to 11:30 – Open Play (anyone can play on the courts) & registration
11:30 to 12:00 – Refreshments and meet the executives
Information on registration will be available throughout the open house. All members are encouraged to stop by and bring a friend or neighbour in the community, who may be interested in checking out the Club.
The ATC would like to thank the Township of Mississippi Mills for employing an engineering firm to analyse the conditions of the tennis courts. The field work was completed on May 20, 2022, and involved drilling five boreholes along the court surface to inspect subgrade conditions. The results of the field work are expected in July 2022. The study will assist in determining design and budget requirements in preparation for future capital improvements in the coming years.

All Adult Members were invited to Register for a Free 2hr Doubles Clinic.
If you were unable to register for the first clinic of the year. The ATC is working with the OTA to have a few more clinics available later in the season.

The Almonte Gate lock combination will be changed on May 10, 2022 for the remainder of the 2022 season. The combination will be sent via email to registered members. Please check, spam/junk folder, if you have not received the email.
Also, the code gives members access to the ‘members only’ page on the website. Where all ATC Executive Meeting Minutes will be posted for the season.
We are all responsible for the security of the tennis facility; please ensure the gates are locked and the code is scrambled when leaving the courts.
The Almonte District High School Tennis Team has been hard at work practicing on the Club Courts for the past few weeks. The team is supported by their school coaches, Megan Materson and Cathy MacNilage, as well additional coaching offered by local tennis instructor, Janet Morrison. The Team has been learning and training with enthusiasm.
Join us in wishing them luck in the upcoming County Tournament!
The ATC is continuing to work with Mississippi Mills to repair damages caused by a fallen pole and its light standard, which occurred during the off season. The wind screen has been removed along that damaged section of the fence to facilitate and maintain repairs. The light will not be replaced until 2023 due to budgetary considerations.
We appreciate all members understanding and cooperation in this matter.
The ATC is pleased to announce the opening of the Regular Tennis Season, as of May 1, 2022. The gate combination will be changed on May 10, 2022, and the new combination will only be shared with actively registered members.
All members are reminded to register online for the 2022 Tennis Season. The regular season runs from May 1st to October 31st.
The start of the tennis season includes the commencement of a number of club programs for active members only. Most notably:
CLUB PLAY MORNING DROP IN Weekly Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30am
CLUB PLAY CLUB NIGHTS Weekly Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30pm
